There are many ways to generate traffic and for some of them you have to pay, but today I want to talk about how you can drive free traffic to your blog.

Just think about free exposure, think about how you can be in front of your prospects giving them a strong message that makes them visit your site.

It is well known that there are many methods to get free traffic, the point is that many of these methods are not that effective. There are others which are working really well right now, but will they last forever?

The Web 2.0 method that includes Social Bookmarking sites, Social Networking, etc is a great way to generate free traffic, but maybe in a few years it is not more effective.

You can use this method today but also you have to use other methods just in case some day Web 2.0 goes down.

One of the most effective ways to drive free traffic to your site is Article Marketing. It always has been around and will always be around.

You can write your articles yourself or hire someone, then when your article is ready you submit it to the different article directories, or you can hire someone to do that.

Submit your article to all the article directories you can and don’t worry about duplicate content, there are many people out there talking about duplicate content without knowing about it. You can go here google-support-webmasters to know more about duplicate content.

One of the most important things to keep in mind when you write articles is to use your main keywords in your title, and make sure that it is attention grabbing.

Your article has to be informative and catch the reader’s attention, therefore put yourself in the shoes of your reader and write keeping this in mind.

If your articles have good quality many webmasters will put them on their sites, blogs, newsletters, etc, because a lot of people are looking for high quality content for their prospects. Your articles will be everywhere and you’ll get traffic because you have links pointing back to your site. By the way remember to add a resource box at the bottom of your articles.

It should tell your readers that they can find more information visiting your website. Make sure to place your website link in this resource box.

If you don’t know how to write articles just do a research in the different article directories about the topic you want to write, then pick those that you see are most popular and model your articles after them.
