Dealing With Information Overload

The biggest problem most newbie marketers are facing is information overload. And this surplus information does not allow them to take action, make the right decision and make money.

If you are suffering from information overload, it is due to the lack of focus. Surely you are a member of a lot of e-zines and everyday you are bombarded with tons of messages offering you many kinds of products – most of them are garbage.

If you pay attention to all these offers, then you will have a lot of information in your mind. You don’t know what to do; you are without direction. Your brain cells are pointing into different directions and these create a great confusion. Then you start jumping from program to program, from one opportunity to another without putting all your efforts into one project.

You are saturated with information that blocks you. And even if you work as hard as possible your results are poor.

So, the business didn’t actually fail and you found a better opportunity. You are expecting too much too soon.

You don’t get favorable results. When you see that you can’t make money, you get frustrated. Then you start blaming others, but you don’t realize that the problem is due to you. It is not due to other people or their products.

No one forces you to subscribe to all those e-zines and buy or download that amount of products even if some of them are free. You are the only person who can solve the problem as you only decided to do that way.

I was having the very same problem of not knowing what to do. I understood that my way was wrong to make money online and I needed to change it.

The solution to information overload is to cancel all that accumulated information and unlearn it. You have to change your mindset and start learning from scratch.

Here is what you have to do:

1. After reading this article, turn off your computer and forget it; empty your brain and go to have fun.

2. Keep your computer turned off for a couple of days.

3. In the meantime take a piece of paper and a pen and go to a place where you feel good. Clarify your mind; think about building a real business based on your passion and write down all your ideas.

Your passion is:

- What makes you to get out of bed in the morning
- What you love to do.
- What you are happy to teach others.
- What you would do for free.
- What you don’t care about how much time you spend doing.

4. Once you have discovered your passion then turn on your computer. Do a research about your passion to see if there are enough people interested in it and the problems they have.

5. If you think you can help these people to solve their problems, then go ahead and begin to communicate with them giving advice and tips.

In order to do all these things correctly you need to stay focused; you need to concentrate on your passion. Do not say that it does not work because you are not making any money. Do not look for a new opportunity.

Start one project at a time. Don’t wait until it is perfect. Just get it going and slowly improve it until you get results.

Don’t buy anything else. Don’t download more free stuff. Just start to work on your new project and do not allow any other thing to capture your attention.

The next time someone offers you something, ask yourself:

Will this product help me to grow?

Do I need it now?

If you feel positive, then get it and put it into action!
