Are You Using The Recording Knowledge Principle?


In one of my posts last week 5 Things Internet Marketing Gurus Do To Be Successful I shared with you 5 things Internet marketing gurus do to make money. Today I want to share with you another important principle that you have to use to take your Internet Business to the next level – Gurus use it too :)

I call this principle the Recording Knowledge and it can have a huge impact on your business. Let’s get into it quickly because the sun is setting…

Okay, what is the recording knowledge principle?

Basically it is about creating a detailed intensive study of your business strategies where you have to stress the factors contributing to their success or failure.

In other words, when you start using a strategy you have track and test it to know whether it works or not and why, then you create a file where you are going to describe all the details.

Let me give you an example, let’s say that you came up with a phrase that you want to use in your headline.

What you do is you split and test. You create a headline with the phrase you think is going to work better and another headline with a different phrase.

Something like this:

Headline 1:

Who else wants to know how to make $2,546 in less than 30 days without a website?

Headline 2:

What if you could know how I made $2,546 in less than 30 days without a website?

As you can notice the only thing that changes is the opening phrase, after you split and test you will know the winner.

Then you do the same with another headline. You keep the winner and compare it with a new one and so on.

At the end you will have a final winner which you can start using in other campaigns, this will be your starting point so that now your sales page can start converting well from the very beginning.

Of course you always have to split and test.

You have to do this with everything…

Emails subject lines and body, ads, prices, etc.

On the other hand, you have to apply the Recording Knowledge principle when you learn something new. Ask yourself this question:

How can I apply this information to my business?

Once you figure it out you put it into practice immediately and start recording the results.

Do the same with other people’s strategies. Let’s say that you received an email with a subject line that called your attention and you couldn’t wait to open the email…

Well, you have to start using that subject line in your emails campaigns to see how it works. If it works well you save it into your file.

It is important that you have your Recording Knowledge file because next time you are going to launch something new you don’t have to figure out  lot of things, you already know the things that have worked for you.

Then you get started using those things. It is going to save you a lot of time, money and work.

I like to use Mindmaps, but you can use whatever it is you want to use, the point is to put all the strategies you have learned together and build a system so, that you can understand how all the elements work together.

The most important thing here is that now you have a  proven system in place so, start working on your Recording Knowledge.
